Watch 100 Years Of Toys And Admit You STILL Want A Care Bear.
While I agree that toys encourage materialism, I also believe that they can be of great sentimental and historic value. As a child, my most prized possession was 'Puppy Surprise.' It's a stuffed animal, a mother dog with a surprise number of puppies in her litter. Each toy comes with 3-5 puppies, but you don't know how many until you check her belly (C-section at the velcro line). There's really not much you can do with a toy like this but I could not part with it. It was -- and continues to be -- one of the greatest things I've ever owned, not just for what it was but for the memories that came along with it.
Mode, a YouTube channel that features celebrities, designers, and influencers, has recently created a video titled '100 Years of Toys.' Many of the earlier ones may not spark any emotion in you, but at one point in time, they made some children very, very happy.
Watch the video here and tell us what toys make you feel most nostalgic.
