A Company 3D Printed An Entire House In 24 Hours For $11,000.
Typically speaking, houses usually take months, even years to build. However, a company in San Francisco managed to build one in just 24 hours! How, you might ask: 3-D printing.
It's pretty impressive what we can print nowadays from scratch. From simple everyday items to human body parts to (now) entire buildings! Apis Cor claims to be the first company to ever invent a 3-D printer that can print buildings in whole on-site.
Just imagine what else we can print with this type of technology!
A company that's based in San Francisco was able to build a house in only 24 hours. That's right, in just one day.
The 3-D printing company is called Apis Cor. They were able to build the house on-site all with just one mobile printer.
The space is 400 square feet (37 square meters) big and is located in Russia. Being built in a day, the cost was only a little over $10,000.
All the main components of the house were printed with a concrete mixture, this included the walls, partitions, and building envelope.
Windows and furnishings were scheduled to be added later on along with a shiny coat of paint to the outside of the house.
