So Apparently You Can Accidentally Have Sex , And We’re Totally Not Kidding.

Sleeping is a time to let your mind and body rest. During sleep our brains process the information it received during the day, filtering out what it considers unimportant. This is also when the heart rate slows down and the muscles begin to relax.

Yet, not everyone gets to enjoy sleep like the rest of us. Some people suffer from parasomnias, a condition where abnormal behaviour occurs while sleeping. From sleep walking, night terrors, sleep paralysis, and even sleep aggression, every case and severity is different for everyone.

There is one condition that does not get discussed very much but still exists. Sexsomnia or sleep sex causes a person to engage in sexual activity while they are in complete sleep. Although, this condition may seem like a joke many who suffer from it find it an embarrassing and uncomfortable thing to live with.

Some people may argue they have engaged in sex by accident.

This usually refers to having a one-night stand or an encounter that was regretted as soon as it happened. Still, this is no accidental sex.
