Home brewing has become popular in recent years, but it's not a new hobby. Historically, people have been fermenting and distilling various grains, herbs, and fruits for centuries. Alcohol and spirits have been used for everything from medicinal, religious, antiseptic, cultural, and recreational purposes.

People have been perfecting the fermentation and brewing process for thousands of years, and over time, it has basically become an art form that keeps being remastered. Originally, people would ferment indigenous items, but as the global market has expanded , so have brewing options. People brew many different fruits and spices, including fennel, wormwood, juniper berries, anise, caraway and others.
