I Wasn't Expecting Such A Sad Story To Be Told In A Cartoon.

It's one thing to read about a person's life, but it's far more powerful when you hear the person telling his or her story themselves. Hearing a voice with the details, their emotion, and holding back tears, there's so much that you don't get from printed words on paper.

The video below is an animation by StoryCorps about Monique Ferrer and her ex-husband Michael Trinidad. Michael worked for Cantor Fitzgerald at the World Trade Center. The voice you hear is Monique's as she remembers and tells the story of Michael's legacy, the family they created together.

Even when our loved ones pass, our relationships with them continue because our connection is eternal. The hurt slowly disappears over time, the memories may fade, but the heart still remembers and loves.
