This Guy Makes Seats Too Freaky To Sit On… The Octopus Chair Will Blow Your Mind.

Spanish Artist Máximo Riera along with over 30 professionals from 5 different companies have combined nature, comfort, and art in the ultimate luxury Animal Chair Collection. Each masterpiece is supported by an internal metallic frame and made with high dense polyurethane in a process involving CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) technology. The chairs are manufactured to order and take 9 weeks or more to make at the London-based studio. In addition to their massive size, you will notice that they are meticulously designed to appear like the real thing. In an interview with Connotation Press, Riera explained:

I normally focus in endangered species for my creations. I want to point out their uniqueness and how special these animals are, I hope we all realize this before it is too late.

This collection gives us an option of admiring what nature is capable of; this is the main reason why from the beginning I wanted to be faithful to the animal’s physique.

Here is an approximate price list converted from the British pound:

  • The Octopus Chair: $52,700
  • The Rhino Chair: $60,200
  • The Walrus Chair: $67,700
  • The Toad Sofa: $82,772
  • The Elephant Chair: $90,300
