Forget Area 51, Raid This Oklahoma Animal Shelter Instead!
You’ve probably heard about the latest obsession with Area 51, the military base that allegedly holds aliens and their technology. People are seriously talking about marching into a heavily fortified base just to get a peek at something that’s out of this world. But an animal shelter in Oklahoma City pulled the ultimate PR move. They're asking people to make a pit stop at their shelter to pick up some pets with special head armor to keep alien hunters safe when they break into Area 51.
The OKC Animal Welfare shelter has 156 dogs, 24 cats, 2 pigs and a hamster available for adoption.
Recently, the shelter posted an event on Facebook called “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.” They also wrote: “Adoption isn’t that far out of this world!” And there’s a perk to adopting these creatures.
A serious alien hunter and “X-Files” fan would know that aliens have the ability to control human minds.
But tin foil is supposed to repel alien brainwaves, so the shelter has given the adorable animals in their care a couple of tin foil hats to protect themselves and you from the power of the aliens lurking in Area 51.
The shelter is jokingly calling on people to also raid the military base in Nevada on September 20.
But some people seem to be taking the event to heart. About 1.7 million followers have marked that they are going to the event to storm Area 51. But hopefully, they’ll take one or two of these beloved pets with them along on this dangerous mission.
The shelter crafted a clever post and shared it on Facebook page, "Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center".
It read, "Do you want to storm Area 51 and find aliens? You can do that right here at the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center (LACAC 51)."
But there was more, "Area 51’s secret second location is 303 HG Mosley Pkwy in LONGVIEW TEXAS. We won’t resist, you can take them all."
And they were right. How could you only take one? If you were to raid this amazing animal shelter, you'd probably wind up adopting each and every one of these adorable furry aliens.
