These Women Are Beautiful… But They Photoshopped Them To Make A Point.
In some way, shape, or form, it has always been perfectly acceptable to change a woman's appearance to make her more "appealing" to look at. In earlier years, these changes were created by stiff corsetry and strict posture - now, we just rely on Photoshop to create quick "fixes" for bodies and faces that society has determined are less than ideal.
Over at Buzzfeed, some members of the female staff decided to have their photos given the cover girl treatment: They were posed like they would be for a magazine shoot, and then all of their "imperfections" were retouched.
The retouched photos have an otherwordly quality about them, proving how far from reality a magazine photo can really be. Looking at the photos below, what are your feelings about these before-and-afters?
