For most new parents, the experience of going through labor is the most stressful part of the ordeal. After that's over, you're allowed to take your baby home and begin the business of raising them to be the happiest, healthiest little tykes that they can be.

But some parents aren't so lucky. For them, taking their baby home can turn into a nightmare when they realize that maybe their little one isn't as healthy as they originally thought. That's exactly what happened to this family, and what the newborn's mom did to help is nothing short of amazing.

Below, we meet the Tigues and their newest addition, Brodie. Though Brodie seemed normal when he arrived in the world, things ultimately took a turn for the worse when his family learned he had an incredibly serious condition. In May 2015, Traci Tigue gave birth to her second child.

But soon after, Brodie developed yellow in the whites of his eyes, and his skin looked jaundiced, too.

At first, the doctors told her it was normal but she went for a second opinion. Three months later, Brodie was diagnosed with biliary artresia, a condition of the liver.

Traci knew she had to do something to help him.

It was then that Traci made the decision to donate part of her liver to her child. The family started a GoFundMe page for the medical bills and sold shirts that said "Brodie's Good Vibe Tribe."
