Seal Pup Poses For Man Who Travelled 1,000s Of Miles To Take His Photo.

Recently Russian photographer Alexy Trofimov was on an expedition at Lake Baikal looking to get some good shots of nature. Whenever a photographer sets out on a trip like this they are in hopes of getting close to something so they can get some shots that nobody ever has before. This was Trofimov’s lucky day as he struck gold.

The 45 year old came across this young seal pup and both parties were interested in the other. In normal circumstances a creature would run away at the sight of a human being but this youngster was curious and wanted to know more. The result was some great up close photos of the seal, who appears to actually wave for the camera.

The furry white seal with the large black shiny eyes was all too happy to have the photos taken as the two got closer to each other. Trofimov said that he was able to approach it slowly and that "The photos were taken from different distances, I managed to get fairly close to the pups".

It’s not very often that a creature from the wild allows a human to get very close but this little guy was obviously not the norm!

It appears the meeting went well as it looks like the seal is actually waving to the photographer.
