‘Beat It’ Has Been Covered Thousands Of Times, But NEVER Like This.
Everyone knows the 1982 Michael Jackson hit Beat It, and you can always find someone singing it at karaoke or a drunk uncle dancing to it at a wedding. What you can't find, however, are amazing acoustic covers of the song. Luckily, there's one that's so good, it's kind of unbelievable.
Here's what the artist, Miguel Rivera, had to say about covering the dance classic:
I decided to star working on this arrangement because It was a great challenge. When you listen to the chorus of the original song, you can hear the main riff (recorded by Steve Lukather) sounding together with the Michael's vocal melody and, of course, drums, bass and other instruments. My objective was to play all of this parts together: the main riff, the vocal melody and the percussion part.
