A Girl Called Beyoncé Inspired The Funniest Facebook Comments You Will Ever Read.
In my humble and possibly somewhat obsessed fan opinion, there is no one more majestic, talented, or well-coiffed than my favorite pop superstar/angel on Earth. Given the fact that I am nearly in my thirties, perhaps it is slightly unhealthy to hold a singer up on such a high pedestal, but I think part of the reason is her unusual and otherworldly moniker: Beyoncé Knowles.
There isn't anyone like Beyoncé, and there isn't anyone named Beyoncé- at least, I thought there wasn't.
Enter teen Beyoncé, a girl who was recently featured on the popular blog Humans of New York. Here's what she had to say about sharing the same honorific as the Most Honorable Beyoncé.
“Sometimes I hate my name because it always draws attention to me, and I’m not a very social person. My family moved this year from Pennsylvania. I was so scared the first day of school that someone would notice me. I wouldn’t even adjust my seat because I thought it would make a noise. One time I really had to cough, but I held it in. When the teacher started calling attendance, I got really nervous, because every time people learn my name is Beyoncé, somebody starts singing ‘Single Ladies.’ And some did, of course. But the second day of school wasn’t too bad. Because everyone knew my name.”
When HONY posted the photo and her words on Facebook, something amazing happened.
