There is a moment in adulthood when you look at yourself in the mirror and do not recognize the person looking back at you. The years of neglecting our bodies catches up to all of us. Whether it’s not following a healthy diet, drinking alcohol, and forgetting to lead an active lifestyle, when reality finally sinks, it’s time to make changes.

Since gaining weight does not happen overnight, neither does losing it. It’s a matter of retraining your body and mind to eat the right foods and train hard no matter how much it hurts. At the beginning every muscle aches and it feels that although you are taking all the right steps, your body is not changing.

People that have gone through body transformations will be the first to tell you that it takes time. You may be tempted to quit but that’s when you go at it harder.

She admits to waking up one day, realizing she saw "the reflection of a person I didn't want to be."

This required she wake up an hour before work to exercise. The 25-year-old "did not allow things like rain, darkness or cold weather stop me."

"Before the workout I would always ask myself 'is this really worth it?'. But after the workout the answer was yes every time," says Forbes.
