‘The World’s Most Loyal Dog’ Earned His Title After A Grueling 10 Week Trek.

Casey is a Border Collie that is a very dedicated and determined dog. When his owner Carole Fossett was moving to a new home she left him in the care of a family friend. She did this to make things easier during their move and so that Casey wasn’t uncomfortable and stressed during the change. While she had good intentions, Casey didn’t agree that’s how the situation should have been handled.

Just a short time after he was left in the care of the friend, Casey ran away, trying to find Carole. It was a very long trip for him as it took ten weeks as he travelled about fifty miles before he was finally rescued and reunited with Fossett.

There were a few sightings but Casey was long gone by the time they arrived to get him. Fossett had all but given up hope in finding him. “We didn't hear anything and I thought, that's it, he's died. He's been shot or run over. All we kept thinking was, where is he?”

There was obvious happiness on both parts when the two were eventually reunited. She said, “I just burst into tears. I can't describe it. When your dog's been missing for two months you just don't believe you're going to see him again. He was sitting in the corner and me and my partner walked in and I said ‘Casey’ and his little tail started to wag.” Good stuff!
