He Saved A Kitten From A Shelter, The Way Kitty Said ‘Thanks’ … I’m In Tears.

Glen Schallman is confident his cat rescued him as much as he rescued the feline. Schallman visited the Humane Society of North Texas in Fort Worth looking for a cat to adopt. Although, it was more Blake who chose the human after meowing and jumping, clearly trying to get his attention.

The night Schallman brought Blake home, the fur ball recognized the man was having a mild seizure. Three days later, a full seizure hit Schallman while he slept. Blake bit his toes to wake him up. Since that day, Schallman knows that when Blake warns him of a seizure, he needs to lie down. Talk about a friendship of a lifetime.

Glen Schallman suffers from a brain condition that causes seizures, often while he sleeps.

Blake was quite sick when he arrived at the shelter. He had to undergo treatments before he was ready for adoption.

Although not trained as a service animal, Blake does a pretty good job.
