These Guys Illegally Climbed Rio’s Christ The Redeemer. The Footage Played Havoc With My Nerves.

Vadim Makhorov and Vitaliy Raskalov are a pair of daredevils who spend their free time ascending some of the world's most dangerous and breathtaking heights. In their recent photo series, they documented their nighttime ascent of the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In the video below, you'll see how they managed to sneak into the statue after hours and climb all the way to the top. Needless to say, their journey is slightly harrowing -- but for these guys, thrills are just par for the course. The fearless pair are known for climbing world-famous landmarks, including the Cologne Cathedral and the Shanghai Tower. See their photos and video below.

Vadim Makhorov and Vitaliy Raskalov of On the Roofs, recently released photos and video of their daring night time ascent of the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The stunt was part of their recent trip to Brazil where they also scaled various roofs and bridges in São Paulo and Brasilia.

In the revealing video embedded below, you can actually see how they managed to sneak into the statue and climb to the top. The daring duo is well-known for their exploits, previously climbing to the top of the Pyramid of Cheops, the Cologne Cathedral and the Shanghai Tower.
