She Bought A ‘Dead’ Fish From A Pet Store… 22 Days Later She Took This Incredible Photo.

Katie L. had no idea her trip to the pet store for dog food would turn into a rescue mission. Katie stopped to look at the display of fish when she saw a container with a tiny creature floating at the top, appearing to be lifeless.

She took the cup to the front cashier to have it disposed when she felt something moving. “I looked, and the fish was flailing around at the top of the water, as if to say, 'I'm not dead yet,’” says Katie. She was allowed to take the betta fish home for free, assuming it would not have long to live. Once in its new environment, Sadfish as it was named, was placed in a clean water tank and given medicine. The recovery was fairly quickly and surprising.

Although popular for pet stores to keep betta fish in small containers, it causes them stress and health issues.
