This Baby Deer Was Left To Die, But Found Love In A Very Unlikely Friend.
Darius had twin fawns born on his property. One of the newborn’s had an injured leg that did not allow her to keep up with her sibling and mom. The outdoorsman did not like to “keep wild animals as pets, but this was a special situation.” He took the frail animal home and nursed her back to health.
Darius was not alone. His cats and dogs also made sure the baby deer was happy. Mack, one of the canines on the property became the surrogate dad, constantly kissing his baby. Nonetheless, the deer had to be reintroduced into the wild when she was strong enough.
The fawn was unable to keep up with her mom and sibling so she was left behind.
The area has too many predators which meant that the baby deer had little chance of survival.
Mack became the deer's dad, constantly keeping a watch over her.
Darius fed her every four hours.
Once the fawn's leg was healed, it was time for her to be with her mom.
