What These Delta Employees Did For A Fallen Solider And His Dog Brought Tears To My Eyes.

Usually, fallen soldiers are sent home from combat to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. Every so often, soldiers are rerouted to public airports like Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. For the few soldiers that come through, the workers decided to do something special. When you realize what's going on in this video, you'll be fighting back tears.

Volunteer members of the Delta staff organized an honor guard ceremony for the arrival of an unnamed soldier. The ceremony is deeply respectful and touching in light of the soldier's death, but there's more: The volunteers also performed a ceremony for the soldier's deceased K-9 companion. The Delta employees' actions are truly selfless and moving, and reminds us that every life that is lost while in service is one that deserves the utmost respect.
