A theme park just opened in the United Kingdom and it’s not the typical bubble gum type of place families visit. Satirical artist Banksy has collaborated with artists from all over the world for the opening of a “bemusement park” called Dismaland. The grim and apocalyptic site has a broken-down Cinderella castle and less than friendly staff in pink vests, adding to the promise that it's "UK’s most disappointing new visitor attraction.”
The location is an abandoned park that ran from 1937 till 2000.

The site holds a special place in Banksy's heart. "I loved the Tropicana as a kid, so getting to throw these doors open again is a real honor," says Banksy.
A whale jumping out of a toilet seat are among the work from artists from all over the world.
The park pokes fun at consumerism and pop culture.
Banksy loves to work in secrecy. Locals were told that a Hollywood movie was being filmed there instead of its true intentions.
The graffiti artist was inspired for his latest work when he saw through the fence the abandoned park.

The Tropicana used to be the chosen getaway for low income families. The park closed its doors in 2000.
