Heroic Dog Saves Beloved Owner From Killer Snake.

Most pet owners would do anything for their beloved animal. But what people don't realize is that most pets would do anything for their human, as well. This is a story about a dog who knew his owner's life was in danger, so he put on his hero cape and saved the day. Keep reading to discover how this woman's dog saved her life by putting his own life on the line.

Paula Godwin is the proud of owner of two gorgeous pups.

Paula and her pups, Todd and Cooper, live in Anthem, Arizona. The three of them enjoy spending their time together and going for long walks.

One day at the end of June, they went on one of their usual walks.

Unfortunately, this walk would prove to be anything but usual. As they were walking, they approached something strange in the road.

At first, Paula didn't even see that there was anything in the road at all.

“It was a beautiful morning but as we were walking down the hill I literally almost stepped on a rattlesnake,” explained Paula. Luckily, her beloved dogs were there with her that morning.

Paula is extremely close to her dogs and they just adore her.

This is proven by what the younger pup, Todd, did for his human that day. And being only six months old, you would never imagine him reacting the way that he did.

The six-month-old Golden Retriever jumped right in front of his human.

The bite that was intended for Paula, went right into Todd's face. “He jumped right in front of my leg where I surely would have got bit. This is what a hero looks like,” explained Paula.
