Rihanna And Drake Finally Made It Official, And LOOK How They Celebrated.
We were at the edge of our seats cringing for Drake as he delivered his heartfelt speech for Rihanna, who he referred to intimately as Robyn Fenty, before presenting her with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at this year's VMAs.
It was unclear what was going between the two for the past seven years or so, in fact few relationships have been as vague and confusing as theirs (and if that's how we feel, we can't imagine how Drake felt but he has offered us some hints in a few of his songs).
A few years ago, Rihanna said in an interview that she 'wasn't looking for a man.' Earlier this year, she told Ellen Degeneres that she was single.
'It's not that I'm like, 'Oh, pro-single, yes, I hate men!' I just think I have so much on my plate that I can't even find the time to entertain a steady relationship or anything serious. Or even a text,' she explained.
Rihanna has repeatedly referred to Drake as a good friend while Drake has opened up about his feelings for her.
Despite this, multiple sources have reported that they were secretly dating. They're now saying that Drake and Rihanna, following an onstage kiss, are officially dating. And if it's true, how about a round of applause?

We Found Love at Avocado
According to Drake's speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, the two first met at a restaurant called Avocado, where Rihanna filmed Pon de Replay. This is was in 2005. At the time, Rihanna was only 17 years old and Drake was 18.
'I was introduced to her as a kid who played background music at the restaurant as people ate their dinner,' he said.
Spotted Making Out
In 2009, the two were reportedly spotted making out at Lucky Strike but later that year, Rihanna cleared the air saying that the two were just friends.'

The Two Get Intimate in 'What's My Name'
Here they are getting cozy with a few glasses of wine. The next year, they performed the song live at the Grammys.
Drake Felt Like a Pawn
Also in 2010, Drake told The New York Times, '[he] was a pawn' when it came to Rihanna. Despite the negativity of the article, he said he didn't mean for it to come out that way.

An Homage to a Special Girl
In an interview, Drake revealed how Rihanna made him feel small, but in a humbling way that helped his artistry.
'It's very rare that I feel small around anybody... my whole purpose for putting that on the album was to pay homage to the fact that she is an amazing woman that made me feel nervous... she made me feel small. She's an overwhelming being. She's beautiful and talented, and her personality is almost, like, scary.'
