They Wanted Her To Get Cancer Treatment, But This 90 Year-Old Had A Better Idea.

Norma and her husband Leo had been married for 67 years when something tragic happened: Leo died in hospice after a battle with cancer, and Norma was diagnosed with cancer of her own two days after his death.

Having watched her husband wither away, Norma decided that she wasn't going to do the surgery, radiation, and chemo recommended by her doctor: Instead, she was going to see the world.

And so, at just 101 pounds and 90-years-old, Norma embarked on a journey across the country that was all about living her best life, with the time she had left. Her story is absolutely inspiring, and you can see the images from her travels below.

Norma has been on the road for six months and counting -- and yes, she's having her cake and eating it, too.

Here she is looking very glam at a resort.

And drinking her very first mimosa.

Driving Miss Norma

She was able to see the world at Epcot -- in this photo, she's visiting Norway.

Here, Norma checks out the terra cotta warriors at the Chinese Marketplace in Epcot.

Naturally, a pirate ship is the ultimate tourist destination.

And she did a little dolphin watching as well. Until this, Norma had never seen a dolphin.

She caught a couple of bison crossing the road.

She even decided to take a hot air balloon ride -- she couldn't stop cracking up when she was getting lifted into the basket.

We think it's amazing that Norma is using this time to see the world, proof that it's not about how much time you have, but what you make of it.
