This Artist Took 20 Different Drugs And Drew 20 VERY Different Portraits.

This is art on drugs. Literally. San Francisco-based graphic designer Brian Pollett, who works under the moniker Pixel-Pusha, just completed a controversial project that's got everyone talking. Pollett tried a new drug every day for twenty days and produced illustrations under the influence.

According to an interview with A+, he wanted to create an experience in which the past, future, and linear time did not exist.

“You can just focus on your existence in the present. The idea of tomorrow is laughable. I can create art without concern of outsider judgment, without over analyzing my process, and intuitively enjoy creating the most honest work.”

He wrote about each day on his blog and the different struggles he faced. On DMT, for example, he taped a pen to his finger in order to fully complete the piece.

While we do not support drug use, it is interesting and perhaps educational to view what can come from those who do.
