These Off-Grid Homes Are Made Entirely From Trash… Wait Till You See The Inside!

The world is changing, and the result of that is people coming up with new, more sustainable ways to live. One of those ways is Earthships, a community of resourceful people in Taos, New Mexico, living in off the grid homes that are built almost entirely from repurposed materials.

The concept of the Earthship was invented by a man named Michael Reynolds, who has observed the progress of global warming over the years and wanted to create homes that could withstand the ever-changing environment of the world. The community who live in Earthships often receive flak from the locals -- some even calling them "gopher people," but from the looks of it, these folks have stumbled upon a compelling way to live.
