Can Your Eyes Defeat These Optical Illusions? I Bet They Can’t.
Look at these amazing photos by Swedish Artist Erik Johahanson.
When you're finished, look at them again.
At first glance, Johannson's pictures appear to be completely normal. However, if you study them for awhile, you realize that there are all kinds of tricks going on in the frame - and that's exactly how Johannson likes it.
These images are a combination of photographs and retouching. Johannson's work is personal, but he also accepts commissions from all over the world. In fact, the upside-down cars were commissioned by the Australian Traffic Accident Commission as part of a campaign to prevent driving under the influence.
So, how does he do it? Every photo you saw here consists of dozens - sometimes even hundreds - of different images. However, Johansson layers and retouches the photos in such a way to make the image look as thought it could have been captured. In other words, even though these are illusions, his goal is to make them seem as realistic as possible!
