This Dying ‘Star Wars' Fan Had One Last Wish… And It Was Finally Granted.
By the time that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released on December 18th, Daniel Fleetwood won't likely be alive.
Sadly, the 32-year-old was diagnosed with spindle cell carcinoma, a type of cancer that effects the skin, tissues, and internal organs. Last Monday, he found out that 90% of his lungs are filled with tumors, which means he doesn't have too much time: The doctor's prognosis was two months.
Fleetwood is also a huge fan of Star Wars, so his friends decided to take to the Internet to do something special for him. What happened next is nothing short of amazing.
This is Daniel and his wife Ashley.
When he was diagnosed, Daniel started putting together a heartbreaking bucket list to accomplish before he passes. As you can see, viewing the new chapter of Star Wars was at the top of the list.
Daniel's friend wanted to make his dreams come true, so she posted the following message on Facebook.
Then, after Lindsay's message went viral, the Fleetwoods got an amazing call: Daniel's wish came true.
Here's hoping that Daniel continues to enjoy the rest of his days with family and friends.
