A Farmer Was Sidelined By Cancer, What He Discovered About Small Towns Will Melt Your Heart.

Before he was diagnosed with cancer, Carl Bates spent his days working his farm, carefully tilling and caring for his land in preparation for his yearly corn harvest. When he received his diagnosis, Bates quickly deteriorated, and it looked like he would be unable to harvest his crops.

That's when his cousin, Jason Bates, decided to share his story on Facebook. What happened next is a true testament to the power of community volunteerism. Despite being heartbreaking, the story is also one filled with hope.

They used 10 combines, 12 grain carts, and 16 semi-trucks to harvest all 450 acres of Carl’s farm in 10 hours.
