These FINAL Text Messages Reveal The Tragic Beauty Of Human Relationships.
There will be times when we lose our loved ones to death, a disagreement, or distance, among other reasons. In some cases, we are completely heartbroken and in others, we can accept that it was probably the best thing. Some relationships shape our lives for the better while others can be toxic. In the end, we usually have something to remember them by. An article of clothing, a gift, e-mails, or even text messages.
Below, you'll find some of the last text messages received before two people parted ways. The posts are voluntarily submitted to a blog titled "The Last Message Received," which is curated by 16-year-old Emily Trunko. It is here that you'll find messages between ex-friends, ex-significant others, as well as deceased friends, significant others, and relatives.
#1. Final messages from an unhealthy ex-boyfriend, 3 weeks after the breakup.
#2. After finding out that you're newly single... via Facebook
#3. Final texts before losing their mother, who was in hospice care after a major surgery.
"Those texts were the last texts I ever received from her (the green messages are actually hers. This is her old phone.) and I feel like the luckiest person because my mum got to know how much I loved her."
#4. When you want different things out of the relationship, it can get awkward.
"I had only known this one guy for a few weeks and gone out with him only 3 times. I needed someone to take the second ticket I had to a music festival and in desperation, I asked him. He assumed this was a “weekend getaway” for us and that I would be sleeping with him the entire weekend. I only gave him a peck on the lips the date prior… that’s it. I lost interest in him day 2. He was not happy and finally confronted me about it on Sunday afternoon. The following morning he took an earlier flight back home. Fine with me, I was there for the music. This text is him forgetting to pack his sweatshirt when he left the hotel. Done and done."
#5. When someone really hurts you but you want to be strong, because you're better than that.
