Watch Two Baby Orangutans Meet For The First Time… It’s Over-The-Top Cute.
It's an adorable video of two baby orangutans meeting for the first time, but it's also so much more. After surviving harrowing ordeals on their own, these two cuties are meeting for the first time, and they both have a lot to celebrate.
According to the rescue organization where they both now live, the orangutans were most likely taken from their mothers and kept as pets. A few month ago, little Gito was found close to death in a cardboard box, his skin parched and his body soaked in Urine.
“As the forests in Borneo are cut or burnt down to make way for palm oil plantations, orangutans are increasingly under threat of starving to death, being captured or coming into conflict with people and being killed,” Lis Key, a spokeswoman for the organization, said in an email.
It's a terrible story, but at least we can rejoice in the fact that the pair of them made it out of their respective ordeals alive -- and now, they get to meet each other and have a chance at a normal life.
