This Is The Reason Why The Flag Is Backwards On American Military Uniforms.

The flag of the United States of America is perhaps the most recognized flag in the world. For many it represents the land of opportunity, the place where you can find every culture, race, and creed all in one place.

The Stars and Stripes has had 26 makeovers since it was adopted as the official flag in 1777. The current flag, however, is the longest version the United State has used since it’s last modification on July 4, 1960.

NASA has made it a tradition to leave a new flag on the moon, ever since astronaut Buzz Aldrin proudly set it on the lunar ground during the Apollo 11 mission for the first time on July 21,1969. This patriotic symbol has a special place in the hearts of Americans, making it on to stickers, T-shirts, and stamps. Its presence can be seen in schools, businesses, homes, government buildings, and the military.

Brave men and women serving have the American flag patched on their uniforms.

Americans and people around the globe have noticed The Star-Spangled Banner does not have the same layout as a standing, flying flag.
