This Recycled Houseboat Will Make You Want To Live On The Ocean, Wait Till You See The Bedroom.
What if you had the opportunity to pack a bag every weekend and head to a beautiful waterfront home for a chance at some seaside relaxation? And furthermore, what if that home wasn't just next to the water, but on the water?
Italian architect Giancarlo Zema has designed an amazing home that actually floats on water. He calls it the WaterNest 100, and the idea is that it provides all the amenities of a waterfront cottage without all the routine maintenance. Sound too good to be true? Check out the pics below to see how awesome the WaterNest 100 actually is!
The major benefit of the WaterNest 100 is that it's easy to take care of, and it doesn't take up any space on land.
The home is completely circular, and it is anchored in the water so it doesn't float away. The home would be reachable via a floating dock.
The living space is enough to comfortably house a family of four.
There is a living room, bedroom, bathrooms - all of the comforts that you'd expect of any modern home.
The space also has micro air ventilation and air conditioning, allowing it to be classified as a low-consumption residence.
Additionally, the home is made of 98% recycled material - and locally sourced timber.
The roof of the WaterNest 100 is covered with 60 square meters of solar panels, covering almost the entire area of the roof.
How would you like to take up residence in this incredible above-water home?
