This Animal-Whisperer Befriends Forest Creatures To Take Truly Amazing Photos.
All wildlife photographers are dedicated to their craft, but it's true that it takes to set wildlife imagery apart from it's competition. Some photographers do so by adding effects, trying to locate exotic animals, and heading to unheard of locations. Others like this young photographer find beauty and uniqueness in the most simple and earnest wildlife scenes -- and instead of using editing and effects to get the shot, all he does is put himself at the right place at the right time, and wait.
His name is Konsta Punkka and he's a Finland-based photographer who has traveled all around the world snapping intimate portraits of animals, sometimes so close to them that it's hard to believe they actually stuck around long enough for him to snap the shutter. You can see his beautiful work below -- the portraits of the squirrels are pretty mind-blowing, as they really look like they know what's going on!
Finnish photographer Konsta Punkka has to work a certain way to get photographs like this, and most of his process involves plenty of patience.
Otherwise, there's no way that he'd be able to get images like this, that almost feel personal and intimate.
The craziest part is, this budding wildlife photographer is only 21 years old.
And at such a young age, it's remarkable that he's proven himself this talented at capturing portraits of woodland creatures like squirrels, birds, foxes, and more.
“My main goal always is to try to capture the emotions and feelings my animals feel while I take the photos of them,” he said in an interview.
