When you look at the work of photographer Gisèle Lubsen, it’s easy to get confused and think you're actually looking at classic paintings. The Dutch-born shutterbug specializes in underwater photography. In order to achieve the stunning and ethereal images, The Dutch born conceptual underwater photographer builds a relationship of trust with her models.

For the 2016 Stop Cancer Anniversary Gala in Los Angeles on June 24th held at the Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles, Lubsen will be donating a once-in-a-lifetime underwater experience of healing and creation and an inspiring piece of rare art to the silent and live auctions. E! News Jason Kennedy will serve as Master of Ceremony during the inspirational event.

As seen on ABC’s “The Bachelorette” the lucky winner will receive a package worth $10,000 that includes; specialized breathing techniques and coaching, underwater makeup, art directing; two unique 1/1 art pieces and a video of the magical experience. The underwater session is equal parts healing and artistry, and is ideal for couples, children, actors or anyone going through a life changing experience.

Lubsen finds underwater photography both to be powerful and liberating. Having worked with cancer patients and having experienced it herself, Lubsen says, “water is healing and allows us to go back to our natural source and feel limitless and free.” It reminds us of our first experience with water being in the womb; a nurturing and protective environment. Her underwater sessions are invigorating and empowering creating timeless art.

Lubsen is thrilled and delighted to be among the many luminary contributors of the Gala, which will honor Dr. Richard N. Merkin and Joan & William Feldman. Proceeds of the event will benefit cancer research at UCLA’s Jonson, USC’s Noris and City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

Later this month, Lubsen is planning a breathtaking edgy dark mermaid production with Mick Jagger & Jerry Hall’s eldest daughter, model/actress Lizzy Jagger face of Lancome, Burberry & Tommy Hilfiger including a stunning editorial and cover shoot with actress Lotte Verbeek, known from her leading roles on The Borgias, Outlander and Agent Carter.
