Decorating your home with an interesting piece of furniture or unconventional art will add an element of surprise and break up the monotony of any dull room. The problem is that most unique art and furniture is expensive, but here's a project you can do yourself. Not only is it amazing, but it's affordable.
Mike Warren from Instructables.com shows us how he created this beautiful glow-in-the-dark table using photoluminescent powder, which gives off a spectacular blue glow when the lights go out. Scroll to the bottom for the video.
First, you need to get your hands on a piece of pecky cypress wood. This type of wood is great because it has a lot of depressions and holes.
After you choose the right dimensions, you have to sand down the wood to give it a smooth touch.
Fill the holes in the wood with a mixture of resin and photoluminescent powder.
The unique mixture gives off a really awesome glow.
