I Bet You Don’t Know What Your Favorite Foods Look Like While They’re Growing.
Last week while visiting a friend’s house, I noticed a big vine growing over a trellis in the corner of her backyard. I thought it was grapes, and I was quite surprised to see little fuzzy kiwi fruits hanging. It got me thinking about other fruits, vegetables, and spices and what they look like while they are growing. As I was putting this list together, I was surprised again by sesame seeds, and then, black pepper. I had no idea they were grown like that.
How many of these did you know about?
#1. Chick peas also known as garbanzo beans and they grow like peas in little pods.
#2. Pineapples grow like this and they will regrow again and again.
#3. Cacao is grown on tress and it takes approximately five years to produce fruit.
