Icelandair’s Instagram Account Reminds You Why You MUST Visit This Country.

Recently, Icelandair asked the passengers that fly on its airline to take some photographs of Iceland and share them. Over 90,000 pictures were submitted and some of the results were truly stunning and spectacular. Any fan of great photography will love what they are about to see.

Waterways, skies, ice tunnels, glaciers, mountains, waterfalls and animals are only a few of the things that appeared in the photos. If you never had any desire to go to Iceland, and let's face it, most of us haven't, these pictures will surely change your mind.

But before you go, remember that they only see about five hours of daylight during the winter months and it is one of the coldest places in the world. But if you want to see the Northern Lights it's a perfect spot to see the beautiful green skies.

There are a lot of beautiful places to visit in the world but few can compare to Iceland. Most vacation destinations have blue water and sandy beaches and others have historical sights and old beautiful buildings to enjoy. But nothing can compare to what nature creates all by itself.

So plan your trip now so you can experience these fantastic sights in person. But bring plenty of warm clothes because you are going to need them!

The Northern Lights

If you ever wanted to see the Northern Lights then you have to visit Iceland. Saying that the views are spectacular is an understatement.

This would be scary if it were in Oklahoma.

If you live in tornado alley this would be a sight that would be pretty scary. But in Iceland it's majestic. It may be the country with the fewest residents in Europe but you can clearly see why it's a destination that everyone wants to visit at least once.

Spa anyone?

This is the infamous Blue Lagoon. It's a natural geothermal spa that's located right in the middle of a lava field in Grindavik. That's right on the Reykjanes Peninsula.

It looks like a great place to go, doesn't it?

Ice caves

Here you see a great picture of someone jumping across some frozen stones in an ice cave. Take a good look at the person to gain full perspective of how big that thing is.

Seal on the lookout

Here you can see a great picture of a seal that has come out to take a look around. This was in a glacier lagoon and the seal looks right at home!
