Companies use logos to create a visual symbol for people to associate with their business. It allows consumers to store a memory of the company in their brain. Think about it. What comes to mind when you think of McDonalds? The bright golden arches. The image is burned into your brain. If you were asked to draw different companies logos, would you be able to do it just from memory? Over 150 people were asked to do just this, and the results are pretty surprising. How would you do, if given the same task?
Adidas has been pretty consistent with the logo's they've used. And if you're any kind of sports fan, this one should be easy.
Most people did a great job remembering what it looked like, but some of them looked like they didn't even know what Adidas was.
Considering every logo has used the word Adidas in it, it's kind of surprising only 21% put the word in their drawing.
There are over 25,000 Starbucks all over the world, so people should definitely know what the symbol looks like.
