Part of what made the mind-blowing movie Interstellar so powerful was the epic, soaring soundtrack, which truly set the tone for the entire film.
"First Step" by Hans Zimmer was the official theme of the movie, and viewers even complained that this soaring organ music was so loud, it overwhelmed the entire film. In fact, at some points, you couldn't even hear the dialogue over the music. That being said, the music was supposed to give depth to the emotions of the characters, and bring the viewer into the scene entirely -- in other words, it was intended to be a full-blown sensory experience.
