Simon Cowell Was Forced To Smile When They Gave Irish Dancing A Modern Twist.
The judges from Britain’s Got Talent have seen it all. Contestants bravely get up on stage to showcase their craft whether it’s singing, dancing, or stand-up comedy, only to be turned down particularly, by the famously grumpy and sometimes mean Simon Cowell.
So when a group of Irish dancers showed up in their perfectly matched red dresses they knew they had to impress TV’s bad boy. The group stuck to the choreography and steps that have come to define this energetic and cheerful dance.
The young women started their performance with the standard fast, foot movements in perfect unison while the upper bodies and arms are stationary. Except the dance quickly took a modern and urban twist. Their choice of mashup songs like, LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” to Ke$ha’s “Timber,” earned them a standing ovation from the audience. They even got Cowell to smile.
Next, a contestant once made Simon Cowell cry.
