A Shelter Refused To Let This Veteran Buy His Dogs Back… By 1:58 I Was Bawling.

In September 2015, an elderly veteran in Delaware suffered a heart attack. During his time in the hospital, he was unable to care for his beloved dos, Bailey and Blaze. Weeks went by, and the ill man assumed that he would have to put his pooches up for adoption.

Luckily, the First State Animal Center, SPCA, and a thoughtful PetSmart employee were there to help.

The shelter volunteered to care for the dogs during the entirety of the man's hospital stay. When he was released, he likely assumed the dogs were long gone -- but surprisingly, Bailey and Blaze were right there waiting for him. See their touching reunion below.

When he was released from the hospital, he was relieved to find his precious pets waiting for him.
