Soldiers Reveal The Funniest Letters They’ve Received From Kids.
Every once in awhile, American elementary, middle, and high schools will begin a letter-writing initiative, encouraging students to scribe notes to soldiers serving overseas. The letters are meant to encourage morale and ensure that these often lonely soldiers get plenty of mail -- but sometimes, the letters are more than they bargained for. And totally hilarious.
Below are some brutally frank, earnest, and altogether clever letters, written by American students to soldiers living abroad. We can't help but wonder how much these letters made the soldiers smile when they got them -- #18 is more inspiring than the writer could ever know.
#1. Grandpa has very clear snack preferences.
#2. Sometimes, the postscript says it all.
#3. Dad clearly doesn't have a very high opinion of the Navy.
#4. When kids get too real.
