She Rescued A Husky, Years Later He Saved Her From An Abusive Relationship.
22-year-old Amanda Tromp adopted her dog Kyro after immediately falling in love with him at the shelter: Tromp bottle-fed Kyro when he was just a puppy, because his mom couldn't feed him herself.
And while Tromp was originally Kyro's savior, in the end, he ended up being the one to rescue her.
At home, Tromp was being treated like a "human punch bag" by her boyfriend. After adopting the dog, her ex's violence got worse and worse. He isolated her from her friends and family -- Tromp's only reprieve was taking Kyro for long walks.
One day, Tromp's boyfriend turned on Kyro.
Thankfully, Tromp was able to protect her beloved dog from her boyfriend's violence -- and it inspired her to get out of that relationship.
"If he hadn’t been there in that situation, I don’t know what would have happened," Tromp reflected in an interview. I had completely shut myself off from everyone – it was like I couldn’t really see what was going on."
Now free from her ex, Tromp spends her time documenting her adventures with Kyro.
She's also been making an impact on her followers, who have supported her since she shared her story.
Despite it all, these two stuck together, both rescuing one another from a far more difficult circumstance.
