Husky Family Adopted A Rescue Kitten, And Now They’re Inseparable.

Humans are not the only creatures that know the value of friendship. Animals have been known to create strong bonds, lasting a lifetime. It is not exclusive to only the bond between a pet and its human or even love within the same species.

Dogs, cats, tigers, bears, wolves, have proved their ability to love outside their species. These creatures' affection for each other is so strong, they often mimic the other's behaviour. Here is a story of a unique friendship between a dog and a cat who are generally considered natural enemies.

In 2015, three sisters adopted a homeless cat.

The Bui sisters; Thi, Toa and Tham, saw a 3-month-old cat wandering on the streets of California. The cat seemed to be in a fragile state, consequently, they decided to take her in. The kitty was named Rosie.

Rosie was scared and weak when the sisters first took her in.

Rosie’s health was rapidly declining even after she spent a night with them. She was not able to open her eyes. But that was not the biggest concern the sisters had. They owned three huskies named Lilo, Infinity, and Miko.

One of the huskies became Rosie's surrogate mother.

The sisters thought Lilo would be perfect for the job. The decision was made because the husky didn’t have any pups of her own and was castrated just a week before the kitten’s arrival.

Lilo and Rosie connected instantly.

Any expected animosity between a cat and a dog was not the case here. They had an instant connection, the feline took the dog as her mother and the canine took the little kitty as her own pup.

Rosie’s health started showing signs of improvement.

In only a week, the kitten’s health began to improve. She could open her eyes and started walking on her own. Lilo and Rosie’s instant affection towards each other surprised their humans. They were happy to see how Lilo’s motherly instincts kicked in while taking care of Rosie. Thi Bui said, “Rosie’s growing up thinking she’s a husky.”
