It’s The World’s Most Amazing Tree House, But The Location Is A Surprise.
Many Londoners might feel the urge to go on safari, but perhaps don't have the time or resources to get to a place like South Africa to do it. Instead, they can simply go to central London, where Virgin Holidays has built a 35-foot South African treehouse overlooking the Thames.
The installation is only there for a week, but it certainly is a sight to behold. Located on London's Southbank, the treehouse features a private balcony, amazing views of the city, and even a personal chef. Only a lucky few will have the chance, to enjoy it, though: The area surrounding the treehouse is open to the public, but only winners of a Virgin Holidays contest will be treated to an overnight stay. Even if you're not one of the lucky ones, you can still see the amazing photos below.
The luxury treehouse sits 35 feet above the ground.
The space offers a "taste of South Africa," including a six-course degustation meal that actually includes deep fried worms, crocodile, and ostrich.
The winners of the contest can stay overnight and wake up to gorgeous views of the Thames.
Naturally, there will be a staff on hand to assist the winners as they bask in the luxury of this amazing getaway.
The rustic interior of the space calls to mind traditional homes in South Africa, including tribal prints and and several pieces of African sculpture.
