Baby Elephant Gets Terribly Lost, Until Some Kind Humans Give Him Directions.

No matter what age you are, getting lost is the worst. When you're an adult, getting lost can mean that you show up late to a party, blow an important business meeting, or simply get in a fight with your significant other why you try to follow along with Google Maps in the car.

When you're young, getting lost is something else entirely. It feels less frustrating and more scary, because you aren't aware of what it takes to find your way again. That's what makes the story of this lost baby elephant so touching: He was totally lost and alone until some kind-hearted people helped him find his way.

This very young, very bewildered elephant managed to wander away from his mother and the rest of the herd. They kept walking, leaving him behind. Luckily, the herd was on the land of the Lew Wildlife Conservancy in northern Kenya, and a team of people quickly realized what was happening.

The rangers' work was done in this instance, but it's never quite finished: They have over 6,500 animals to watch on the conservancy.
