With the arrival of smartphones and tablets, we tend to depend on these devices to read everything from science, gossip, and lifestyle articles. I cannot remember the last time I bought a magazine. Nonetheless, editors work very hard to make sure their publications are picked over their competitors.

Whether it's thought provoking stories, stunning photography, or just a beautiful man or woman, there is no limit to what will be done to have high readership numbers. At times, the monthly journals have broken barriers and helped bring important issues to the forefront.
