When the channel TLC was featuring one of the pageants in the popular reality TV show “Toddlers and Tiaras,” one family stood out amongst the rest. Alana Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo was not considered as refined as the rest of the contestants which worked to their advantage in this case as they got their own spin-off with, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”
Although completely panned by critics who found Honey Boo Boo, her three sisters, step-father, and matriarch June Shannon aka Mama June to be offensive, outrageous, and a caricature of people from the south. One thing that was clear in every episode was Mama June’s love for her family and their crazy home life.
The family’s show was cancelled two years ago after Mama June was romantically linked to a convicted sex offender. The family has continued living in Georgia. In the last couple of months, Mama June has left everyone in shock and it's not for her tumultuous life.
