This Is What The Kid Who Played ‘McLovin’ Looks Like Today.
We know him best as McLovin, or Fogell, from Superbad (2007), where he starred alongside Jonah Hill and Michael Cera. As a side note, the film speaks volumes of the mind of a teenage boy because it was actually written by two Seth Rogan and his childhood friend Evan Goldberg (notice how the characters played by Hill and Cera were named after them?) when they were both just 15 years old. Back to McLovin.
His real name is Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and he was only 17 years old when he landed the role. The young actor didn't even have head shots and said in an interview with Jay Leno that he took one with his camera phone.
Mintz-Plasse has since graduated onto other roles such as Chris D'Amico in Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2, a comedy film that has a significant cult following.
Now 27 years old, look at how much Christopher has grown.
McLovin is Born
Christopher Mintz-Plasse was starred as McLovin when he was only 17 years old, which meant that by law, his mother had to be on set when he was filming the sex scene.
Superbad: A Critical and Commercial Success
When Superbad came out, everyone was talking about it. If you haven't had a chance to watch it, it's about a group of awkward boys, their friendship, and their simple sexual desires.
Tough critic Roger Ebert gave it a 3.5 out of 4 stars and was impressed by the "deep, sad yearning" represented by through the foul-mouthed details of the film.
The Fake License
We do not condone underage drinking but here's a closer look at Fogell's fake ID. What's not to love?
An Instant Star
Fans everywhere were looking for Superbad T-shirts, and many were interested in the one that read 'I Am McLovin.'
