Monkey Adopts A Puppy, For A Single Moment The World Makes Perfect Sense.

Zoos and sanctuaries commonly pair two species when a female has lost her baby. This is done to ease the heartbreak that comes with losing the offspring while the baby is given love and care. This is often done with human intervention.

Although, it seems the animal kingdom does not need people to teach them to love beyond its own species. A rhesus macaque monkey in Erode, India has its own baby to love and protect. Locals, however, don’t know what to make of the odd pairing since the creature this monkey has adopted as its own is actually an adorable puppy.

The rhesus monkey usually lives in large groups but have been known to live in the busy towns and cities in India. In fact, this mammal is regarded as sacred among the Hindu religion and will often roam around undisturbed.
